The Law Firm of GOÑI & CO. was established by Jose Luis GOÑI ETCHEVERS in Madrid in 1964. The initial professional challenge of GOÑI & CO. was to provide comprehensive and effective juridical and legal consultancy to shipping companies, shippers, insurers and other persons or entities involved directly or indirectly in shipping.

Since its inception, and given the nature of its activity, GOÑI & CO. demonstrated an unmistakable international projection, as one of the first Spanish firms to genuinely target this complex area of law.

Gradually, our fields of activity have grown. At present, Shipping and Admiralty Law, Transport Law, Aviation Law, Insurance Law, Litigation and Arbitration are our most representative areas of specialisation, though we now also have considerable experience in all other areas of law, some of which are listed below.

Fluency in foreign languages and close relations with prestigious law firms in Europe and America enable us to attend quickly to the interests of our clients anywhere in the world and to intervene to settle disputes involving interests in a number of countries.
